How cute is this geometric jewellery by Mustard & Mint? Ok… ok… it’s teething jewellery… like for babies… but since discovering I’m very allergic to metals my jewellery options have been severely limited!

Really though I doubt anyone would clock that these are essentially highly stylish teething rings. Pretty sure I’m going to be ordering one from their ETSY SHOP and working it into a look. Stay tuned.

I’m real late on this smoothie bowl trend. I blame pinterest. Seeing something over and over and over and over… I find it so off putting.

Smoothie;

  • 1/2 cup frozen berries
  • 1/2 cup frozen mago
  • 4 tbsp oats
  • 1 cup rice milk
  • 2 tbsp diced drie date

Toppings;

  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1 tbsp each pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, coconut flakes, and raisins
  • drizzle of honey and sprinkle of chia seeds

I can’t be fashionable everyday. Today I had a load of errands to run and honestly I was not feeling myself. I’ve been suffering through this record breaking pollen counts. Allergies are awful and I HAVE SO MANY!

The scarf was a practical edition; trying to keep pollen out of my hair and sun off my face. It ended up being the centre of the outfit and earning me a few strange looks from passersby while I was out and about running errands.

Sometimes you’ve got to go back to your roots. I am a nerd. Truly, madly, deeply I am. Now that I’ma little older it doesn’t always show up in my day to day wardrobe, but in days past it did. I either looked like Courtney Love in vintage dresses I’d had my mom alter a ‘little too short’ as she’d say, or I looked like Curt Cobain in oversized t-shirts, tatty jeans, and dad jumpers. This look is kind of an homage to my teenage self… this is what my teenage self would have liked to wear had they had the confidence and the budget. I even tried ‘faux freckles’ for the first time to add another layer of youthful fun to the look.

I’ve been struggling with being stylish for the past year. I’m climbing my way out of one of the longest and hardest depressive spells I can remember and it’s been a struggle. The things I really enjoy I just stopped doing, and I do enjoy clothes and styling. My ‘Outfit of the Day’ posts started way back as a way to document the daily looks I pulled, but now, here on the blog they’re more a personal log, to remind myself that I can do it and that I love it, and that sharing that joy with other people is what getting dressed is really about(for me anyway). I hope you’ve been enjoyin

I’ve jumped back in with both feet, but for a lazy Sunday afternoon of lunch with my husband and mother-in-law, a visit to the British Museum, and some errands in the west end I wanted something simple and comfortable, and what’s more comfortable than JEANS AND A TSHIRT? I gave it a little twist and voila!

Happy holiday weekend!

This weekend is shaping up to be the warmest may bank holiday on record so bright colours and florals were an obvious choice.

The shoes although a great style choice weren’t the most practical. They’re pretty thick and did make me quiet warm. But overall the outfit was a great success. I say that because I am vain, I felt good, I got lots of stares while shopping in Selfridges and on Bond Street and the MOST fabulous drag queen told me I looked great so there’s that.

At the National Gallery bright and early this morning for a private viewing of the new Monet exhibit. We’re a bit early so taking advantage of a nearly empty Trafalgar Square to take some outfit pics and have Joe practice his ‘Instagram Husband’ while I practice my blogger poses.

#OOTD

I tried my best to looks normal and casual… or as normal and casual as I get. The viewing was for sponsors of the exhibition and Joe’s work is a sponsor so we snagged a couple tickets. I really love these work persk but it’s always a challenge for me to BLEND IN and even worse to socialise. I kept to myself this time as we lucked out and only one of Joe’s co-workers attended.

I don’t LOVE this look, it wasn’t quiet right…

I always feel more comfortable in the more strange poses when it comes to outfit pictures.
